Frog Street derives its name from a corruption of the Anglo Saxon for "meeting place". This delightful listed Somerset longhouse dates back to the 15th Century and is situated at the end of a "no through road" in the beautiful tranquil Somerset countryside with an abundance of wildlife. Situated only 5.5 miles from the M5 motorway 6 miles from the county town of Taunton and approximately 20 miles from both the north and south coast makes it the perfect setting for either business or pleasure. The house has been tastefully restored to a high standard retaining the character of the house with its beamed ceilings fine Jacobean panelling and open fireplaces; during winter guests can curl up by the log fire or in the summer enjoy the beautiful secluded gardens. the rooms are bursting with character and just enough modern touches including free sky TV and free WiFi. Breakfast is included in the price but if you feel like an evening meal we offer a selection of 2 or 3 course meals upon request. Fancy a night out? 600 guests in 2010 dined out at our local pub and all came back saying what lovely food and atmosphere. You will be amazed at the sheer number and diversity of attractions in Somerset! From mystical Glastonbury Tor Historical Wells and Dunster Castle. Manor Houses such as Tyntesfield Montacute House or Barrington Court ? to a day?s discovery at the Fleet Air Arm Museum Cricket St Thomas or Haynes Motor Museum or enjoy adventure at Cheddar Caves and Wookey Hole. For Sat Nav users type in 1 Broadmead road, Hatch Beauchamp, Taunton,Somerset. From the M5 (Junction 25) Take the A358 towards IlminsterYeovil. Continue for approx 2.5 miles, take the turning left to Hatch Beauchamp local services. Continue for approx 1.5 miles until you reach a pub called the Hatch Inn. Turn left off the road by the pub, continuing alongside down Station Road (you will pass Weavo Fencing and the Primary School on your right). At the bottom of the hill as the road bears to the right take the left turning to Curry MalletBeercrocombe. Continue until you pass over a hump back bridge. Frog Street Farm is at the bottom of the road down a no-through road (approx 1 mile from the Hatch Inn pub). If you are using a Sat Nav it will direct you within approx 14 mile - keep going until you go over the railway bridge.From the A303At Southfields roundabout take the A358 heading to Taunton, take the 4th right turn after approximately 1.5 miles signposted Stewley-Beercrocombe. continue for 1 mile until you reach a T junction, turn right, go over hump backed bridge, our driveway will be on the next bend.
