The family management team - Matt Harvey front of house and Joanna Oldman in the kitchen is a proven winner. Matt trained with Raymond Blanc at Petit Blanc and later the Hotel du Vin chain and Joanna went to the top flight Tante Marie to learn her culinary craft. So you?re in good hands ! The Rock Inn is easy to get to: Waterrow is half way between Wiveliscombe and Bampton on the B3227 we are about 12 miles south west of Taunton. For those who don?t want a long drive home after a good bottle of wine with their dinner or for holiday makers in mid-devon or travellers to other parts we have eight comfortable well furnished and characterful rooms here at the Rock Inn each with its own private bath or shower facilities . We are on the southern fringe of the Exmoor National Park one of the most beautiful areas of heather moorland. We are half an hour?s drive from the sea and close to the ever popular walkers? paradise of the Quantock Hills. Here at Waterrow we are also sitting among the less familiar Brendon Hills.
Take Junction 25 southbound on the M5 and head into Taunton. Follow the signs for Minehead until you pick up directions for Wiveliscombe - the B3227. From the south: take Junction 27 and head for Tiverton taking the last exit from the first roundabout towards Bampton. At the next roundabout go straight ahead through Bampton and on the far side of town turn right onto the B3227 towards Wiveliscombe. About half way between the two towns is Waterrow and the Rock Inn - you can?t miss it !;
